Simple but totally worthwhile

Attention: iPad/iphone/ipod Users

I have a new app for all the ipad, iPhone and ipod users.  Download FasterScan HD.  This allows you to take a picture and your device turns into a pdf.  You can then email yourself.  Try it out!

There is a free version and a $4.99 upgrade if you are interested.

Want a place to chat about videos?

Just came across www.synchtube.com  This service allows you to watch a video and have kids "chat" about what they have seen.  If you use it let me know how it goes.

There is also TED-Ed which is TED videos for education.  They do some flipped video lessons as well...don't know what a Flipped Classroom is?  Google and then come talk to me.

New computer trick

Alright well it's been brought to my attention that on a lot of the newer computers in our school when you open any application it opens the last 10 documents in whatever app you are using.  How do you turn it off?

Step 1:  Click on Apple
Step 2:  Click on System Preferences
Step 3:  Click on General
Step 4: Unclick “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps”

Saw something amazing...

We should always be learning from our students....yesterday I ran into some of my former students up at the high school.  I noticed they were giggling and working on something on the computer.  As soon as I walked over they wanted to tell me all about what they were doing....

I learned something from some of the greatest resources and teachers around me, OUR STUDENTS.
